Country House between Norcia and Cascia
The recently restored Country House “Il Vecchio Ippocastano” lies on a charming hill in Umbria, between Norcia and Cascia.
The building dates back to 16th century, although it has been renewed several times throughout the centuries, the last renovations were carried out by the holistic architect Brunella Franceschini, who has converted it into a lovely Country house, the ideal location for your relaxing moments, but also a perfect place for fans of sports and nature, here you can actually ride horses, go trekking or cycling, as well as practice rafting. The place is also ideal for your wellness, offering yoga, meditation courses and martial arts.
Close to the house you’ll find some of the most important historical and artistic Umbrian towns, such as Norcia, Cascia, Spoleto.
The Villlage of Avendita
The village of Avendita lies on a beautiful plateau, 875 Meters a.s.l. The small village (only 100 inhabitants) is especially convenient for people who want to enjoy a relaxing and healthy holiday, breathing the fresh and clear air of the mountains. The village has very old origins, most likely dating back to Roman times, as many archaeological finds testify.
In the small town centre, on a cosy square, you’ll find the church St. Procolo, the old parish church. Inside the church you can see a precious 16th century organ, a rare example of this Renaissance masterpieces in Umbria.
Two noble houses stand on the square, their old stones characterize this historical, charming place.
